- What is Streaming?
Streaming is very similar to broadcasting. Streaming, however, uses the internet instead of airwaves to send content. - Will my friends, who are not very "tech savvy, " be able to connect and see the video?
If they can browse the Internet, they can view your wedding video. As long as they have a computer with access to the Internet, that's all they'll need. To hear the audio (voice and music) they'll need speakers or headphones. We use 'Flash' technology, which is included with most Web browsers, or quickly 'plugged-in' if needed, as a free download. Once they've been invited to view your Wedding Video, they'll be directed to test their browser, to make sure everything's working. - How much does it cost to add streaming to my wedding video?
Packages start at $70 for 100 'streams' or $100 for 200 'streams.' One 'stream' equals one viewing of the video. You may purchase larger packages, or add streams later, as they get used up, as needed - Do I have to purchase the Sandals/Beaches video services in order to get the streaming?
Yes, the video that streams is the same edited video you will receive on the DVD of your wedding. We cannot stream other videos. - Does the video download to my computer? How much space will it take?
No. The nature of 'streaming' video means you watch a 'stream' playing and nothing downloads. This protects you from your video being used without your permission, saves hard drive space on your computer, and relieves any concerns about inappropriate programs being downloaded to your computer - Can I invite more guests to view the video after we return from the resort?
Yes, you can continue to log in, as you originally did, and add new email addresses any time. Our system will automatically send email invitations to those in your list. Your wedding video will continue to stream as long as you still have unused streams. - If I run out of streams, can I buy more?
Yes, just log in, as you did to enter your email addresses. You'll find a tab there that will allow you to purchase additional streams right online - What if I already have a Sandals Account set up?
If you have purchased something through our Online Gift Shop, or set up preferences for Butler services at one of our resorts during a previous visit, you will have a log in and password for a Sandals Account. Just advise the Wedding Consultant, and they'll log into that same account to set up your streaming wedding video. - I can't see my video
You will need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash player in order to see your streamed video. If already installed, ensure your version is up to date. Check http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ for the latest version. - I am unable to open my video
To open your video, you will need to enter the username and password provided. Please send an email to videostudio@grp.sandals.com if the username and password provided does not work. - Do I have to purchase the stream?
Please ignore the link to 'purchase' if your stream has been prepurchased or is complimentary - Is there anything I can do to improve my viewing experience?
There are a few easy actions you can take to ensure the best possible video viewing experience:-
a) Update your flash player so that you are using the most current version available.
b) Close all unnecessary applications on your computer.
c) Avoid downloading other applications or files while you are trying to watch your video.
d) Try viewing your video at a time when there is less internet traffic. - The video plays but there is no sound.
If you're not hearing the audio, check the volume controls on the player and/or the sound options on your computer. - Can I save a streaming video?
Unfortunately, users are not able to save a streaming file. Additional streams and copies of the DVD are available for purchase.
