This was our first stay in a Sandals resort and it was an amazing experience! Our daughter got married there and the staff was truly wonderful! The resort is spot on in beauty, food, and flowers but it is their staff that put this resort over the top! There are a few names I remembered and would like to give them credit, but there were so many that I didn't remember. Marcia and her assistant were amazing to take care of the wedding planning. They were delightful! Geneve ,Rowan, and the young lady who did the manicures and foot massage, and the Desirees in the Jewelry shoppe , Kavel and Earla, are the few I can name! I must say all the staff greeted us everyday.LOVED IT!Thanks!
Sandals Grande Antigua is a amazing resort! The layout is so well thought out that you can feel like you are alone with your loved one or at a party with friends. The service is second to none. The restaurants were terrific and the food was great. My wife is Gluten free and they knew when we were coming, gave her the Gluten free menu and would also adapt other meals to make Gluten free for her. The host at Mario's Italian Restaurant, Michele, was the best, we truly made a new friend. The accommodations were great. We also had the butler service and our butlers Shaunte, Daryl, and Daren were all fabulous. They all have different strengths and compliment each other so well. They are a well oiled machine. More friends for life we made. What an amazing week we had.
Thank you Sandals Antigua for the great reunion week. Enjoyed every bit of it, even the short rainy periods, we call it liquid sunshine. Thank you Tamica, Soon Come back, for the great room with a view. There are so many people we would like to acknowledge, here we go: Ken and Michelle at Mario's, Vakeesha, our singing waitress at Bayside and Geraldine, Rochelle at the scuba shack, and most of all the landscape team which makes the resort so lush and colourful. Thanks to the beach cleaning staff the beach is immaculate. We are sorry we missed you Mr. G. - next time- Clement and Anne Rodrigue, NS, Canada
I surprised my husband with this trip for his 40th birthday. The experience did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived and received a champagne check in at the concierge desk to the very last minute, we had a great time. Everyone there seemed to go out of their way to be nice and helpful. I happened to mention to one of the managers that my husband would be celebrating his 40th birthday during the trip and he went above and beyond to plan and prepare every step of his birthday dinner celebration. We enjoyed every aspect of our trip and visited Café de Paris every single night for extra dessert. The beaches were clean, the scuba diving was fun and the food was awesome. Definitely going to visit another Sandals resort as soon as possible.
My husband and I traveled to Antigua for our honeymoon. Obviously it has sentimental meaning for me. We loved the people and atmosphere. I'm celiac and they were so accommodating. Can't wait to return to celebrate 5 years in January 2015! Accommodations: Our room was very nice. We stayed in the Caribbean village. We had some issues as soon as we arrived to the room which we quickly looked after. Bed was extremely comfortable and we were really happy to be able to walk out our patio doors. Food: As mentioned before I'm celiac and couldn't be happier with how I was looked after. The staff were very attentive. Location: WOW! The beach is an absolute dream! Clear water and soft sand - what more could you want! Activities: We opted to do the introductory scuba diving course. LOVE!!! Hoping to finish our certifications when we go back :) Spa: So relaxing. We had a couples massage complete with a soak in a tub for two ;)
Love this resort!! Definitely one of our favorites!! We were spoiled here!! The staff worked hard the entire week to make sure we had a memorable vacation. No other resort in the world works like they do to make sure you are happy!!
