This was our first Sandals, Emerald Bay experience and we can’t brag enough about our WeddingMoon. It was over the top, an incredible experience for just the two of us. We stayed for 7 nights in a Beach House Oceanview Grande Luxe Walkout room that was spectacular! Very clean, spacious, well stocked with refreshments. The grounds of Sandals, Exuma were absolutely breathtaking with the amazing flowers, green grass, hanging hammocks from palm trees, pools that were the perfect temperature. I would have to say my favorite part was the Zen Garden, the reason for picking this location for our wedding. No matter where you were on the compound you always had a way to the AMAZING beach with turquoise water so clear you can see 50 feet down. We would like to complement the ground staff on their job well done to make this Sandals breathtaking each day not to mention that every time you passed them working they always went out of there way to say hello with a smile. That is customer service at its best! Now the food, what can we say, we gained a few pounds on that trip! La Parisienne was to die for. The food was delicious. We always left a clean plate and the staff was top notch. Barefoot by the Sea was also amazing. The pasta with lobster was my favorite and the dishes overflowing with amazing food. Café De Paris I would have to say I fell in love with. The sweets were always fresh and the coffee was perfectly made by the wonderful ladies that always greeted you with a smile. By day five they knew our order by heart. Our wedding was AMAZING even though it rain a little we would not have changed anything about it. Sandals bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Especially our wedding coordinator Danille who went above and beyond for us even though she didn’t have to and did it all with a smile and soaking wet from the rain. Troy was our photographer who by far is the most talented I would say. We went down to Exuma planning to Trash The Dress along with other beach shots and Troy was excited to have the opportunity to expand his creative photography skills. What photographer do you know that would put on a bathing suit to jump in the ocean with you? Troy is your man! That is just what he did and for that we have the most AMAZING wedding pictures a couple can ask for. Thank you everyone for making our wedding/honeymoon spectacular! See you next year!
Sandals lived up to everything they say. The people working their are the best, first class everything. Thank you all.
This was our second stay @ at Sandals Resort. Our first experience was fantastic and this trip did not disappoint. Emerald Bay is a gorgeous property. We had a 3rd floor Ocean View room in Beach House 1 on the quiet end of the property. The view was amazing. The room was clean, comfortable, and complete with great amenities. This was our first experience with a Club-level room which includes concierge and room service. We loved having the in-room stocked bar and plan to book at this level or above from now on. We also enjoyed the spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, garden/soaking tub, and double sinks. Very Nice! The grounds and gardens of this property are absolutely breath-taking,, immaculately groomed and well-kept.. We loved both pools. The main pool with the swim-up bar was usually our choice early in the day until we had a few drinks, but we moved to the quiet pool in the afternoons where the water was warmer and we could hang in the pool for extended periods of time. We also enjoyed the lunches/snacks that were discretely served by the quiet pool. The only restaurant we didn't try was the French Restaurant, but the food was wonderful at all the restaurants we tried. Our favorite was the Drunken Duck Pub with Bahama Bay coming in second. The Red Lane Spa is magnificent and the staff is fantastic, I enjoyed a fabulous hot stone massage. Overall, our experience at Emerald Bay was excellent, but there are few things we felt could use improvement to elevate the resort to the level of service we came to expect after visiting The Grand Riviera in Jamaica, now known as Ochi. While the grounds are immaculate, the buildings are in need of some repair and general maintenance. The staff members are incredibly friendly and pleasant, but attention to detail was sometimes lacking. We asked our concierge to make sure our bar was stocked with plenty of diet cokes and fully expected diet cokes to magically appear everyday. But, we had to call every evening and have them delivered. The first night, it took over an hour and two phone calls before they arrived. But, on subsequent evenings, it only took about 30 minutes, so it did get better. The Scuba Diving was a bit of a disappointment to my husband. Suggestion: take inexperienced divers out early and then take experienced divers our later so there is enough time to visit great sites further offshore.
This was our first Sandals experience and it will not be our last. We had a fantastic time. From the time we were picked up at the airport until we were dropped back off at the airport we were well taken care of by the staff of Sandals. All the staff was pleased to see us and everyone that we passed always had a smile, said hello, and asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Wonderful customer service! Our accommodations were nice, in a 3 floor room in Bay House 7. We had requested a room on the "quiet" side of the resort and that was accommodated. We were at the quiet pool each day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were not able to go snorkeling because of the winds, so instead we used the sailboats that were available to us. That was great. Because of the winds we did not have an issue with bugs, but there was bug spray in our room. Having the refrigerator stocked daily was very nice. We took advantage of the free photo shoot that was offered and had a great time. Ask for Kenny if you decide to have pictures taken. About an hour before sunset the light is just beautiful for photos. The grounds of the resort are just stunning. Great care is taken to keep them beautiful. We look forward to going back to Sandals Emerald Bay.
Sandals Emerald Bay had the most romantic feel of any resort that we've visited so far. There were many areas that a couple could enjoy together - a cabana by the pool, a hut on the beach, a hammock in the gardens . . . One of our favorite ways to end the day was to listen to live music, sipping champagne, atop the patio that overlooked the giant pool with the beach beyond that as the sun set.
This was our second trip to Sandals Resort and we were celebrating our one year anniversary. Emerald Bay was incredible, every facet of this resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely attentative and always had a smile on their face. The dining was phenomenal, we loved grabbing lunch at Dino's and Barefoot by the Sea. Dinner at Il Cielo and La Parisienne were some of the best meals that we have had. Of course the Drunken Duck was a favorite of ours for the night time. Our accomodations were very nice, clean, and spacious. The ground were kept very well maintained which we enjoyed on our morning walks to Cafe de Paris for coffee and Bahama Bay for breakfast. The golf course was the prettiest course we have every played on and the views of the crystal clear water were incredible. The playmakers were so much fun during the day by the pool, they always kept us laughing. The returning guests dinner was a highlight for us, as we got to mingle with other returning guests and the great staff. This will always be one of our favorites, and we cannot wait to come back to Emerald Bay.
