Sandals Grande St. Lucian
My Last Visit
We stayed for two weeks in St. Lucia. The first week we stayed at the Regency and the following week we got married at the Grande. The ceremony was divine. The pictures and the video from the wedding are extraordinary and with the island's rich colors really complimented the experience. We stayed for two weeks in St. Lucia. The first week we stayed at the Regency and the following week we got married at the Grande. The ceremony was divine. The pictures and the video from the wedding are extraordinary and with the island's rich colors really complimented the experience. At the Grande, we had a beautiful honeymoon oceanfront suite with a swim up pool right to our room. We loved the idea of playing at the three resorts. We went to over 11 restaurants and tons of pools. The plunge pools and spa were gorgeous. They were the best 15 days of my life. I am pretty sure Gus feels the same way. The island's logo is "Simply Beutiful" and it totally was true! We did some architectual tours, snorkeling, swimmng, mountain climbing, zip lines through exotic jungles (had a panic attack and had to have the guide come with me but I survived), ATV riding and tons of sightseeing. We went to waterfalls, the botanic garden, Fort Rodney, Pigeon Island and the famous Piton Mountains(the mountains of love are breathe taking). We basically toured the entire island.
Guess what, I can now swim. I always had a phobia and my husband taugt me to swim at the resort. I attribute my ability to swim to the realxed atmosphere. I can't tell you how excited I was to snorkel. Gus also became certified for scuba diving. There were so many sights and the Lucian people and staff were absolutely warm and loving. We learned a great deal of culture from the Lucians. The staff treated us like family and got to know us on a personal level.
The food was exxquisite with fresh fruit(the best mangos ever), vegetables and seafood. The consant parties and events really kept up with the momentum of the island. We both gained a few pounds. Therfore, I constanly tried to keep up with my regular routine of cardio and weights. I power walked a few times up and down the step mountains at the Regency and it felt great for my body and soul. The different workout sessions were hard and the two instructors (at both resoorts) were inspirational. The gym really helped keep me balanced.
Everyone on the island says , "No pressure, no problem" and that is my new motto. Everyt time I am reminded of my daily resposnbilties at work, home and with my family, I clutch on to my miniature sandals I received from the playmaker and say over and over "No pressure, no problem."
We can't wait to go our ne
