Responsibilities:

To impact the number of clients booking Sandals, Beaches, and Grand Pineapple by servicing, educating, and building relationships in a proactive, professional manner within your assigned territory at the Travel Agent, Tour Operator, and Tourist Board levels. Grow new business by helping travel agencies develop marketing plans and reach booking goals via utilization of the vast tools available through the Certified & Preferred Sandals Agency Programs.


Required Field Activity:

Travel Agents: Daily sales calls; In-House agency trainings/presentations; Conducting Exclusive Sandals/Beaches (Consumer) Event Presentations; Representing the company at Trade Shows; Working consumer events/shows; Working with and attending meetings for agency & industry organizations; Conducting self-initiated familiarization trips and conducting corporate office mandated fam trips; Planning and executing Sales Blitz; Assisting with events in other regions as needed; Planning and executing Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner events and seminars; Seeking out advertising & promotional opportunities; Positioning Sandals, Beaches, and Grand Pineapple products within travel agencies to reach consumers and expand brand awareness; Any other functions deemed necessary by the company to generate sales.

Tour Operators: Sales calls to all departments; Joint calls with Tour Operator sales representatives; Ongoing training and motivating of reservations and sales; Maintaining accurate computer information and brochure descriptions of our product; Working their trade shows; Planning, executing and attending joint events; Planning and executing joint fam trips.

In addition, Business Development Managers are expected to speak in public and prepare presentations for travel agencies.

Unique Vacations, Inc., an affiliate of the Worldwide Representative for Sandals & Beaches Resorts is seeking an exempt Manager, Media Campaigns. This position will be based in our Miami office and will report to the VP of Marketing.

Summary:

Plans and executes media and other marketing campaigns by performing the following duties personally or through team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
¿ Build brand identity/awareness and bookings through effective advertising programs.
¿ Confers with outside advertising agency and print, broadcast, and online media representatives to negotiate advertising contracts.
¿ Confers with department heads to outline new programs or promotional campaigns.
¿ Plans, articulates and orchestrates media and marketing campaigns in response to brand and product objectives.
¿ Designs, maintains and executes a unified advertising program that spans all types of media opportunities.
¿ Identifies advertising objectives and target markets for products or services.
¿ Identify, assess, frame, research and build business case for new growth opportunities/ideas.
¿ Develop long term programs, based on analysis of key markets, competitor developments, technological change and long term audience trends.
¿ Collaborates with internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and external partners and allies in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and business models.
¿ Develop and contribute to the marketing planning and assist to translate plans into detailed initiatives.
¿ Identify cross-segment opportunities.
¿ Estimate demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.
¿ Support direct mail assessment and analysis to develop contact, creative and offer strategies.
¿ Assess and implement proper media mix strategy.
¿ Evaluate and seek-out new marketing initiatives and sales opportunities consistent with Unique Vacations objectives.
¿ Optimize strategies and programs.
¿ Review rates and classifications applicable to various types of media types and outlets and provides appropriate authorization.
¿ Partner with creative and production teams to ensure creative development aligns with advertising/media objectives.
¿ Direct research to gather information and compile statistics pertinent to planning and execution of advertising campaigns.
¿ Assist with new product and service launches, and with preparation of special promotional campaigns and features.
¿ Orchestrate media added-value programs to execute upon all deliverables, partnering with creative, online, PR and social teams.
¿ Monitor and analyze campaign results to determine cost effectiveness of campaign.
¿ Develop and manage department budget.
¿ Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: BA or equivalent (Master •s Degree preferred) in marketing, advertising, communications or related field; and five to ten years related experience and/or training.

Background: Media and Marketing Campaign Management a must.

Responsible for Marketing strategies and development. This includes, but is not limited to:

¿ Oversee current loyalty program (SSG). Ensure growth in the areas of customer acquisition, larger program participation, increased enrollment, increase purchases by our members, and more value for our members.

¿ Management of our current database of past guests. From this existing database, create offers for target mailings to increase business, particularly during off-peak season.

¿ Customer Identification and retention.

¿ Cost control of SSG program

¿ Improved communication with members.

¿ Writing and overseeing production of quarterly guest newsletter

Job Requirements:

• Must have knowledge of database systems to be used for promotional offers.

Job Description: The Creative Services Coordinator supports the in-house Creative Services department, assisting in day-to-day functions of project management. The coordinator is expected to be highly proficient in their functional area, manage a challenging, multi-tasked workload, anticipate the needs of their supervisors, assist others as needed and contribute ideas and acquired skills to benefit the entire department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

¿ Open projects with the Creative Services designers and copywriters, while effectively communicating the needs of the department requesting the project.
¿ Ensure the designers and copywriters are provided with all of the assets and information needed to complete the project request. Projects include but are not limited to brochures, ads, flyers, logos, copy, etc.
¿ Proofread all copy and design projects for content, accuracy, and brand standards.
¿ Route creative to other internal departments and partners for review, along with follow-up coordination to ensure anticipated schedules and due dates are met.
¿ Support and assist in all UVI departmental collateral and fulfillment needs.
¿ Be available to assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
¿ Assist with administrative duties to ensure support when needed, including organizing creative samples, handling correspondence, etc.
¿ Maintain a working knowledge of all resort brands and current promotional efforts.
¿ Stay current ¿ attend departmental operational review meetings, stay informed of competitors¿ marketing initiatives, visit properties (when required), etc.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience
Bachelor •s degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field required.
Two years of Advertising and/or Marketing experience preferred.

Skills
• Must be proficient in MAC and PC; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign a plus.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, with little to no supervision.

Job Description:

The Copywriter assists in day-to-day functions and in-house copywriting.

The Copywriter is expected to be highly proficient in their functional area, manage a challenging multi-tasked workload, anticipate the needs of their supervisors, assist others as needed and contribute ideas and acquired skills to benefit the entire department.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

¿ Writing and editing concise and engaging copy for print and digital mediums as it pertains to all brands, products, programs, and services. Understands that multiple rounds of revisions may be necessary.
¿ Communicate and maintain the overall concept of the creative designed ensuring adherence to strategic focus and tone.
¿ Consult with client or account services to obtain information on product or service and discuss style and length of advertising copy. Work closely with Creative Services Director and Coordinators and Senior Copywriter to present copy for approval. Ensure copy is accurate and reflects the desired message. Negotiate copy changes, and correct and revise work as needed.
¿ Work with copywriter to review creative strategies, develop concepts and provide copy on assigned projects.
¿ Writes advertorials, collateral, direct mail materials, online copy, and other related informative and promotional materials that meet program objectives.
¿ Proofread all copy and make necessary edits to all trade and consumer print ads, brochures, magazines, and other collateral materials as needed.
¿ Be available to support and assist in all UVI departmental collateral and fulfillments needs such as image request, copy for collateral, etc.
¿ Organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
¿ Compile competitive information, stay abreast of advertising and marketing trends, obtain additional background and current development information through research and interview.

Job Title: Media Relations Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

¿ Coordinate media requests and on-island itineraries for both individual and group press trips. Requests will come direct as well as through the various Public Relations Agencies worldwide. Accompany individual or group press trips when needed.

¿ Closely monitor trade and consumer publications for press clippings and results. Save daily clippings, share with relevant departments/resorts and compile in weekly distribution to the company.

¿ Keep on-going record of all media visits on the annual Media Report and all major events on the PR Calendar.

¿ Keep a weekly agenda of all ongoing projects & top coverage.

¿ Organize/save all agency reports, product updates, new photography, press releases, etc.

¿ Update all agencies with new materials (press releases, product updates, photography, brochures) as appropriate.

¿ Work in conjunction with various Public Relations agencies and departments to implement and execute media-related queries, events and visits.

¿ Liaise with all resort General Managers, PR Officers and Sandals & Beaches Resorts offices to facilitate high profile visits and on island itineraries and ensure VIP treatment. Follow up with Resorts and writer after visit to ensure a successful visit.

¿ Monitor social media channels during journalists¿ visits for coverage and log/save.

¿ Draft weekly blog posts.

¿ Review, edit, save & distribute internally all new press materials from the agency of record, including press releases, advertorials, weekly trade newsletter, etc.

¿ Compile Comprehensive Coverage Grid each month, from agency reports.

¿ Update all internal department/resorts/corporate office on new awards received, top press coverage, etc.

¿ Organize all press clips and TV mentions for annual results video and log as appropriate.

¿ Compile end of year media reports, featuring weekly newsletters, top press clippings, etc.

¿ Log major events/campaigns/projects as they occur in annual Media Results presentation.

¿ Liaise with Sandals Resorts offices, regarding customs clearance for all film equipment related to a media visit or event.

¿ Draft copy for advertorials, web pages, emails and company correspondence as required.

¿ Assist Director with crisis or corporate communication as required.

¿ Responsible for assembly and maintenance of all Press Materials. Ensure that proper quantities are available at all times in the department. Fulfill all media requests for press materials (i.e.: press kits, photos, Results Videos, Broll, etc.).

¿ Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the Sandals and Beaches Media Website to include updating information daily, weekly and monthly when needed.

¿ Ensure news releases are up to date on the Public Drives as well as on the Sandals and Beaches Media website.

¿ Assist with department promotions and on site event planning and execution (i.e.: New Resort/Product Openings, concert events, World Travel Awards, etc.)

¿ Foster creative ideas and a team environment.

¿ Assist the Public Relations Director/Manager whenever and wherever necessary.

¿ Able to travel as needed and available for last minute travel. Travel required may be up to 40%.

¿ Candidate must be a self-starter that is able to multi-task, work under high pressure, tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
